Enhancing Self Esteem

The road to enhancing self esteem can be difficult especially when we don’t really understand what it truly is.  So what is this elusive thing psychiatrists’ call enhancing self esteem, and how can we honestly enhance something we don’t really know anything about?  You can say that it’s about feeling better than feeling worse.  The more we feel good then feel bad then we are said to have a positive emotional state.  But what does that all mean and how can we master the art of enhancing self esteem?  Have you ever noticed that people, who are generally happy, don’t stay depressed very long?  They don’t sweat the small stuff and learn how to take unfavorable situations into positive ones, enhancing self esteem.

However, there’s so much more to enhancing self esteem than just feeling good about you.  Trading good positive emotions with someone else is the act of love.  Ever notice how hard it is to love someone when they have insecurities or complain all the time?  It’s draining to us when we have to pump all our hard earned positive emotions into someone else.  It’s much easier to share ideas and love someone when they take care of their own emotional state and have learned the art of enhancing self esteem.

It’s taking me a long while to understand how powerful this simple concept is when enhancing self esteem.  There is no real quick fix for feeling bad.  You can only turn things around when you identify the problem.  If you’re dwelling on the feelings and not focused on the idea or problem you will only continue to feel bad and be cut off from enhancing self esteem.

Enhancing self esteem all starts with learning how emotions work.  You can learn how to use your emotions to drive you in a favorable direction.  You can even learn to make decisions without getting emotionally tied to it.  Have you ever made a decision primarily on your emotions?  Me too!  That’s why learning about our emotions, learning what drives us, and what doesn’t, is so important when enhancing self esteem.

In essence the art of enhancing self esteem is learning how to turn negative emotions INTO positive ones.  But there is no quick fix for it.  It’s ongoing process that takes sometimes month’s even years to master.  You can feel good right away, but it doesn’t last long if you haven’t learned what makes you sad and learn how to change it.  That’s what enhancing self esteem is all about.

Enhancing self esteem is essential for creating events and wealth in our lives.  It’s essential for setting goals and creating successes, but most importantly, enhancing self esteem is what creates fulfilling happiness in our lives.
